Some of these almost look intentional!
by brian @ 14:34:54 - [perma-link]I took the camera up on the plane again. It flies pretty well, even
with the extra 4 oz payload of the camera. The pictures are still
somewhat unpredictable, but I managed to get a few shots with Josh,
Daisy, Niko or part of myself in frame. Oh yeah. I need to add a timer and a RARD (Rooftop Airplane
Retrieval Device) to my flying kit. I misjudged the end of the
field, the wind, and the battery power and ended up crashing on the
Shucks next door to the school. Josh McGuyvered it down from the
roof with some tent poles, a wire hanger and duct tape. The crash
broke the motor mount, but everything stayed attached. It should be
flying again in a couple of days. I should probably find a cheaper camera to mount on it, too. One that
does decent-sized movies. |
