Republicans control the senate by brian @ 23:22:17 - [perma-link] Oh joy. According to the Portland news, the republicans control the senate with 50 seats, and 2 still up for grabs (and that one pesky independant). Rather than there being 50 states with 2 senators apiece representing the best interests of their constituents, its 2 parties fighting for "control" in order to further their political agendas (plus that one pesky independant). I guess two parties is one better than the situation in Iraq. Makes me proud to be an American.
