Board games have gotten harder by brian @ 23:05:21 - [perma-link] My wife and I got a bunch of board games as a wedding gift. Tonight we played Life. Let's just say its changed a lot with the time. There's insurance cards. Jobs which pay out when people land on career-themed spaces. And these "LIFE" cards that you get for good deeds (like visiting the in-laws, or buying a house). Then at the end, you trade in you good deeds...for money (cuz we all know that's the most important thing!). We did misread the section on 'stocks'. Instead of only being allowed to own one, we kept on buying. Then on every roll (except 10), someone got money. We decided to call that the "Silicon Valley 1999 Rule", where everyone wins in the stock market. Oh, and we won't talk abour who won.
