Drug are bad, m'kay? by brian @ 19:27:40 - [perma-link] We gave the cats a sedative for the trip. They did NOT like it. They got gorggy and quite pissed off. And maybe a little drowsy. We ended up stranded* in Redding due to snow. Elvis wouldn't come out from under the front seat, even after an hour of coaxing, in the rain. We went shopping, then came back and he was finally out. Now they're all in our hotel room. They're still a little H.I.G.Y., but they're mosty back to normal. We're NEVER going to do that again. Tomorrow we're planning to take a 4 hour detour around the mountains, so we don't get stuck again. * we're stranded because I-5 is snowed and was going to open for chain or snow tire traffic. The Defender was no problem. Kragen had chains that will fit the Charger. But the M-3, with its 255/40R18s, apparently doesn't DO chains (or so the kragen guy said, after calling around...including a call to bnw in sactown).
