This one is MINE :D
by brian @ 23:37:20 - [perma-link]

Connie has 3 bikes, so its about time I got one for myself!

(hmm.. maybe using captions from iPhoto wasn't the best idea. gonna have to find a way to improve that...)

First Look
yamaha,R5 350 twin 2 cycle motorcycle, bike is adult owned and in
exellant shape All original 350 twin two stroke .Fast and light. $575.

Picked it up with Josh's rack.
He finally got to use it for something other than carrying a bike
around to see if it worked.

Gauge cluster.

Headlight and shiny fender.

Clean oil tank

Engine looks good.
The engine runs well. It took a little bit to start at the guy's
house. He was jumping on the kicker with a big work boot, and almost
snapped off the rear foot peg. Josh stopped him and cranked it over a
little more nicely.

Twins?
My bike next to Nikki's R5.

Not quite...
Mine is basically stock, with bigger rear springs and a reupholstered
cushy seat. And we threw on a different handlebar.

Nikki's has a different taillight, upgraded pipes, a racing clutch,
drag bars, a larger front tire (thus no front fender) and a custom
paint job.

Cleans up real nice!
Josh, Connie and I polished most of it this afternoon. The wheels are
at the shop getting new tires.

The "other" side.
Almost every picture of an R5 I've found online is of this side of the
bike. But I had only taken shots of the other side so I couldn't
compare mine to other bikes on the net.

The pipes have lost a lot of chrome, and the rear fender is beat.
Neither of us noticed the fender's condition when we went to check it
out. The paintjob on the tank managed to get most of our attention.
I'll upgrade the pipes to some tuned ones once i learn how to ride, so
no big deal. I'll find a rear fender somewhere.

Shiny engine!
I don't mean to brag, but its pretty sweet! the cylinder needs a coat
of black. I'll shine up the last fin with my polisher/sander. And
there's still some dirt to wash away. But it does look good!

Can you tell I'm excited?

Just wrong...
by brian @ 12:13:36 - [perma-link]

I live on a small one-way street, but people tend to disregard that.
Its not very busy, and mainly I think its a deterrant for cut-through
traffic, but still..

THIS genius drove the wrong way and parked the wrong way, blocking the
alley (cuz, you know, they won't be here very long, so its OK). And
they're right across the street from the one way sign, and I'm right
here watching.

Bitchen Camaro
by brian @ 09:22:04 - [perma-link]

Saw this car yesterday. I gotta do that to my charger.

New Pipes
by brian @ 09:27:58 - [perma-link]

I forgot to take pics after we picked it up, but we got new pipes and a
new fairing for the Ducati. It looks killer. It sounds killer. And
its apparently got a pretty decent performance increase. The guy at
the shop warned Connie to be careful that she doesn't accidentally pop
a wheelie, like he did when he was checking it out after the tune-up.

Those silver "DO NOT REMOVE blah blah blah" labels have got to go.

Getting coffee with Daisy
by brian @ 09:54:21 - [perma-link]

Triple nonfat venti mocha for me, and a tall water no ice for Daisy.
Hopefully she'll build up distance so we can go somewhere besides
Starbuck's.

Maybe tomorrow I'll try to take her up to the Ugly Mug.

Philadelphia's steaks & hoagies
by brian @ 12:40:36 - [perma-link]

Cheesesteak for lunch. But I'm THINKING healthy.

Mondays 5:30 to 9, half price... And buck-75 pints 9 to close. Gotta
remember that.

Daisy lost another tooth
by brian @ 13:19:55 - [perma-link]

This is the latest baby tooth (puppy tooth?) to fall out. Just a couple
of minutes ago. The adult teeth that are coming in a HUGE... Kinda like
when Jim Carrey's dog was wearing The Mask.

Good thing she's not a biter!

Margaritas!!!
by brian @ 20:04:24 - [perma-link]

We're at Chili's for dinner. They have margaritas that come with a
sidekick (a small shot hanging in the side).

I opted for the el presidente. Yum.

Something lurking in the trees...
by brian @ 14:31:21 - [perma-link]

We let oscar outside again while I'm sitting with Daisy. He's funny. He
begs to go outside then spends the whole time walking around meowing.
When I catch him trying to leave the yard, he flops over and rolls
around on the ground.
