Plasma TV

This is our new Plasma Screen HD TV. Randy hooked it up temporarily so
we could use it. When it's hooked up permanently it will look just
like a picture hanging on the wall. The wires will be hidden behind
it. And of course, we won't be using those scary looking 70's
speakers.

New Scoreboard

I uncovered my slot car tables a week or so ago, and got it running
again. The Carerra lap timer just wasn't cutting it anymore; I need
more than 1 decimal point. So I did something about it.
I found an old PS2-style mouse (well, Logitech trackball) and hooked up
some wires to the switches inside. I connected each of buttons 1 and 2
to an IR emitter/detector pair, and aimed them at each other (through
straws to cut out ambient light), so when the cars cross the beams, it
triggers a mouse click.
Over the last few days I hacked up a Tcl/Tk display for it, and now I
have a much cooler scoreboard.

Last Bathroom to Remodel

They deconstructed this bathroom yesterday. I was so excited when they
took the wall that was behind the sink down. There is enough room back
there to have a sunken jacuzzi tub (i think)

Exterior of the House

We added the two planter boxes to the arbor and had them add more
slats. We aren't sure whether or not we will have window treatments in
the family room so we want as much shade, within reason, as possible.

Family Room

We received our new love seat and chairs today. We got the ottoman a
few weeks ago. We love this arrangement so much better. We can open
the french doors all the way and the flow is so much better.
The fireplace screen was installed yesterday. We love it.
If anyone is interested in buying a couple of lazy boys let us know.
We have two top of the line red ones that we have no room for.

Master Bedroom

Almost done. The guys will be here for the next 5 days finishing the
Audio Video hook up. We should have our other drapes next week too.
It's hard to sleep with just sheers.

Master Bathroom

Yay! The only thing left on our bathroom is the installation of the
fireplace frame and a couple of other small punch list items. Daisy is
in love with the heated floors. They are awesome, especially during
those late night bathroom trips.
In case you are wondering that's my camera case on the floor.

Living Room Fireplace

This is the first fire we've had in this fireplace. I took another
picture with the flash on but it showed all of the dust that's on
everything. These pictures are much prettier.
We received the Copper Chiminea and teak bench today. The chiminea has
a screen that we haven't received yet. It is so cool, I can't wait to
use it...if it's ever warm again ;) The Teak bench is going to go in
the backyard under the window by the fireplace.
