At least she HAD her dignity

We're taking Daisy to San Francisco this weekend. She can't eat for 12
hours before, or drink for 2 hours. She has a really cool travel
backpack (she goes in it, it goes on my back.
And on top of all that, she's dressed in her nicest sweater.

Also Connie's new look, and the obligatory pic of Daisy in her carrier.
She did pretty well on the plane, at least until the Flight Ass-tendant
made us put her under the seat ("It's not me, its regulation." Like the
people giving us evil glances at her barking care so much about
regulating an 8 lb dog.)

Breakfast of Champions

Cheddar grits and diet Mountain Dew. Yes, I know it's almost noon, but
its still my first meal for today.

Recycling is good

This was one of the boards from the original garage roof. The previous
owners had kids who hung out up there, and wrote various things on the
ceiling. One board in the new rafters commemorates "Menage-a-trois
Weekend 6/3-4/95." There's also a rather formal looking Winnie the Pooh
mounted in one of the peaks.
Not everything is reusable (I lost count of the number of dumpsters
they've filled).

screens. Still looks like prices are dropping.

Starting to look like a room

The walls went up yesterday. Today they did more framing and started on
the roof. Its big, and has a high ceiling. Only several months more to
go :)

The walls are going up

There's a crane here this morning raising the walls on the addition
above the garage. They built them on the floor up there, then the crane
lifted them into place. I didn't realize how tall it was going to be.
It will definitely help with the glare on the TV :)

Clean and Happy

Before you go off on me for anthropomorphisizing my car, the car is
clean, and I am happy.
Its 75 and sunny in Portland. We washed the car this morning (OK, Connie
washed the car, and I washed the wheels), and spent a good part of the
day driving around with the top down.
Its so pretty when it's clean. And it goes faster too. :)
