Rough-housing in the lobby

We were wrestling with Daisy in the lobby (as much as you can wrestle
with a 12 lb dog). She got all riled up and is barking at EVERYONE in
the lobby now.
They think she's so cute.

1 million cups of coffee

Our waitress (waitron?) at Bertie Lou's just told us she's been waiting
tables for 30 years and was curious how many cups of coffee she's
poured. A rough calculation in my head.... She's worked probably close
to 10,000 days. My cup has already been topped off 3 or 4 times now.
If she gets 25 jittery customers a day (which seems reasonable), she's
probably poured at least a million cups!

We're staying at the Alexis hotel. Its pretty cool, and quite dog
friendly. All of the staff love Daisy, even though she barks at most of
them. I bet she'll warm up in a couple of days.
They have a free wine hour downstairs, and child-style watercolors on
the table. I painted a picture of Daisy.

Glad to see I'm paying attention!

My blog hit the one year anniversary, uh, about 2 weeks ago, and to
celebrate I completely forgot about it (go figure). My only post since
was some lame drunken observation that really wasn't funny. Nice.
So in a year, there were 419 posts (making this one #420), mostly from
me, and a bunch from my wife, and a few from some friends for whom the
novelty quickly wore off. Its time for an upgrade.
Yeah, I'll get right on that.

Who's a good girl?

Daisy is getting used to downtown and people. We've been keeping her
outside most of the day the last few days. She crashes pretty hard
around 8pm, even crawling into her crate on her own to go to sleep. This
morning she's even letting people walk by without barking at them.
Good puppy!

The bakery across the street needed small bills, so Connie "sold" them 4
fives for $20. A NEW twenty! Ooooooooh!!!!

Another attempt at a panorama. We'll see. Its pretty dead here today,
but its nice out. Daisy played with a boxer puppy for a while. She looks
funny sitting on the steps.
