Candy Apples of Rewl
by brian @ 17:21:50 - [perma-link]

We saw this place this morning, but didn't go in until now.

They have caramel apples rolled in all sorts of stuff, from M&Ms to
s'mores, to popcorn and chocolate and like fruit and small mammals and
stuff.

Ferry to Bainbridge
by brian @ 11:44:13 - [perma-link]

We're riding the ferry. The weather today is beautiful. Its just like a
sunny day in any normal climate, just colder.

The Defender is down below, so we'll cruise around bainbridge island,
maybe hit a couple of wineries, then come back out of Kingston.

OMG!!!! WTF????? ROFFLEMAYO!!!1!

Night of the Panther
Apple is releasing version 10.3 of MacOSX, "codenamed" Panther. People
are lined up down the block, and its been going on for over an hour.

A woman just walked by and said, "Huh? Save 10%? I thought it was a rock
concert!" It's funny. If ever was the most stereotypical, obvious moment
to make fun of a geek, here it is! But what can I say? I'm here.

Terrorist threat?
by brian @ 21:29:52 - [perma-link]

Why is this Apple employee harrassing this customer who ACTUALLY BOUGHT SOMETHING tonight?
Everyone is here for the spectacle, and this guy bought a laptop and
looks like a few accessories (and, heh, an ipod in his shorts), and
they're harrassing him going out.

Insane.

Free crack with G5 purchase
by brian @ 21:51:19 - [perma-link]

Some girl just walked by laughing and asked, "what? Do you get free
crack or something?"

This is absolutely nuts.

Now some guy is trying to explain this "phenomenon" to his wife, based
on the 10% thing.

Oh, and I think I just talked that guy on the phone into buying a 17"
instead of a 12, because the 17 has a light up keyboard. (Ok...he's
probably interested in the 10%... but not everyone is).

I am teh cool

Oh yeah, you know you're jealous.

Yeah, right.

Space Needle
by Connie__ @ 10:31:02 - [perma-link]

Connie has already been here, and dogs aren't allowed, so she's waiting
down below. I looked, but couldn't see her. My job was to take a lot of
pictures. Hopefully this is enough (I forgot to charge my phone last
night, so I'm using hers).

Need a map?
by brian @ 14:42:25 - [perma-link]

We stopped at the map store near Pioneer Square. Connie got a bunch of
maps od Portland so we can find our way around....when we get home.

Mmmmm. Fresh!
by brian @ 15:35:40 - [perma-link]

The bathroom in our hotel room had kind of a mildewy smell. We stopped
by walgreens and got one of those glade plug-in
warming-scented-oil-with-a-fan on it things to freshen up the place.

We just got back from lunch and walking around town, stepped off the
elevator and WOW! The whole floor smells like Hawaiian breeze! It beats
the hizzle out of the cigarette smell that was in the non-smoking
hallway before. But man, these things really work.

Attack mode
by brian @ 18:11:01 - [perma-link]

The hotel manager just walked by and leaned over to pet Daisy. She
barked. He backed off.

Hotel manager: I love it.
Connie: She won't bite.
HM: I don't care if she does. It would be my fault. She's great. [Smile.
Exit through office door.]
