Happy Halloween

We're up to, uh, 5 more... Uh... 125 trick-or-treaters, and its not even
quite 8:30.
We also set up an iChat video chat with Chris and La and Vaughn and
their pre-party in SF. Its kind of cool. We're doing a massive remodel,
so being able to look into a real livingroom instead of one full of
piles of stuff is pretty nice.
Only a couple of kids have noticed and said hi to our remote greeters.

Last ride of the season

Its going to freeze tonight, so I had to pull the boat out to winterize
it. We got a late start, but Josh and I figured it would be fun to take
one last ride. So we gassed up and drove way further than we ever went
before.
We cruised up to the Columbia, and turned right, and right again. We
turned back right around the airport after watching a few planes
(including an F-18) fly overhead.
It was pretty fun, but I didn't get the boat back home until well after
dark. Trying to find the drain plugs with a flashlight in the cold
wasn't fun, but its all done and covered now.

There's nobody here!

Quite the opposite extreme from Oregon, where you can't pump your own
gas, Washington has a "fully automated" gas station. Which I guess is
pretty much the same as most modern gas station, but without some bored
attendant in a glass box.

If you mix "splitting headache" with "Belfry the bat" you get something
really evil. But amelia says the skinny beard makes it look more evil
because it looks like a devil.

Too much glare

window display is pretty funny.
