	Flash! by brian @ 16:16:00 - [perma-link] I picked up my new puppy, yesterday. His name is Flash, and he's a mix of Cattle Dog and Border Collie, which means he'll probably be herding the cats in a few weeks. So far he's been really mellow, and sleeps most of the time. He'll be 7 weeks tomorrow, but the people at Out West Pet Rescue in Prosser, WA (3 hour drive each way to go get him!) said he's been eating hard food for almost 2 weeks. Daisy seems to get along with him pretty well. Buster seems a little confused about there being another dog here. They're both staying with me this weekend, so there will be plenty of time for them to become friends.

	Lots of Progress on the VW Motor by brian @ 23:30:21 - [perma-link] Josh and I spent most of today putting pretty much everything back on the motor. We found one broken cooling pipe, a plastic one which VW later replaced with metal, due to the plastic ones failing. I'll go pick up one of those and a couple more bits and pieces, then it's all set to go back in the body later this week.

	Vanagon Engine Assembly by brian @ 19:45:29 - [perma-link] Josh and I started reassembling the motor today. It went really well. We got the rods, cylinders and pistons back in and both heads attached. I have a time lapse video of it I'll post later. Tomorrow we'll do some more, then get it back in the box next weekend, perhaps.

	Wall-mounted Shop Vac by brian @ 00:25:48 - [perma-link] Thrilling, I know! I got a good shop vaccuum (Rigid brand, not "Shop-Vac") It mounts on the wall, which is nice, and is portable, so I can carry it elsewhere when needed. The 14 foot hose is long enough to vaccuum the car with the vac still on the wall. Sweet.
