Out with the old, in with the new!

I gave the vanagon a much needed oil change a few days ago. Its only
been about 4 months, but I've put plenty of miles on it in that
time. It was having a little trouble starting on cold mornings, but
now it fires right up. I've added a reminder to my calendar, so I
can keep to the 3 month schedule and keep this thing running smoothly.

Felix is on House Arrest

Felix is on house arrest for a few days while his paw heals. It had
a nasty cut on it (I won't post pictures. trust me, its gross) before
Thanksgiving, and he's had 3 trips to the vet stitching it up. Its
finally starting to look better (as opposed to the 2 weeks when it
kept getting worse), and hopefully he'll be back to normal soon.

Time for a new laptop?

That's not trick photography or photoshopping or anything. Its what my screen actually looks like. If I jiggle it a little or slap it around a bit it gets better. Sometimes. Maybe worse. Its taking more and more effort to get the whole screen working right.
I see a MacBook Pro in my near future. Now its just a matter of my limited patience vs. Apple's next revision release date. Time to check the rumor mills.

Oh Yeah. Happy Halloween!

I played with some EL wire this year, and found some goofy Elvis
glasses to answer the door giving candy to the kids. It was pretty
fun. I have some shoes that glow (so bad...). I mean go with the hat
and bolo. I was the "coolest cowboy ever" at the party we went to in
Santa Cruz the weekend before.
I need to figure out what to light up next

How excited do you think I was to turn the corner at Target and see a HUGE R/C car. "Dodge Charger", it says. "No way!" I imagine as I step closer. I see "Retro Muscle" and let out a muffled "HFS! It is!...but it looks weird.."
How is a friggin 2006 model year car "Retro"???
Stil denied on a really big R/C '69 Charger...

At the Dog Park

I finally got flash to the park up the street (finally found it is more accurate). There was only one other dog here, but they weren't interested in playing after a meet & greet. We threw the frisbee instead.
And its time to get some new discs. Flash modified this one to be harder to throw and catch. I guess he needs more of a challenge.

Popcorn, anyone?

I picked up this popcorn machine at Fry's to put in my Home Theater. It makes pretty tasty popcorn, and won't take up too much space. And if I use it and don't clean it for a while, I'll get that authentic theater popcorn flavor!
